The Thames Valley Churches of Christ
We are a family of like-minded people who want to bring our faith to our friends. We believe that being a Christian answers questions and gives meaning and purpose to life. It does not promise a life of ease but of completeness and security that comes with a personal relationship with God. Our goal is to apply the Bible to our lives and to help eager people to become Christians as they did in the New Testament times 2000 years ago. We do not pretend to be able to answer everyone’s questions nor meet everyone’s needs but we would like to direct as many as possible towards God.
We aim to relate to all stages of life offering faith and friendship, overcoming barriers together and appreciating and accepting that differences exist. We have very popular children’s and youth ministry. There are students as well as families and the seniors mean we include all ages.
We are hosting an outdoor service followed by barbeque and fun for the children. Last summer saw an out reach campaign in Reading and in the autumn we look forward to a parenting and marriage workshop.
We are affiliated to the International Churches of Christ though we function as a local area. We are involved in benevolent work through the charity Hope Worldwide which has projects across the world.
